River Tubing & Waterfall Slide
Float the Mae Taeng River through quiet jungle on our original half-day tubing trip — no experience needed, and non-swimmers are welcome: you wear a life jacket and a guide stays alongside the whole way.
You ride your own tube down a calm, scenic stretch, tubes roped together as one group. Keep an eye on the far bank as you pass Elephant Nature Park — there’s a good chance of spotting elephants as you float by.
Back on land, a five-minute walk brings you to SaGee Waterfall and its natural rock slide.

Good to know
Activity level. Light adventure on natural terrain — steps, uneven surfaces and a short walk to the river. You should be comfortable getting in and out of the tube.
Footwear. Ordinary flip-flops or sandals are all you need — no water shoes required.
Health & safety. Non-swimmers welcome with a life jacket and briefing. Pregnant guests up to 6 months only.
Timing. Two departures every day — 07:30 and 11:30. Morning pickup is sometimes 08:00 if yours is the only group that day. Return times depend on traffic and the size of the group; times on this page are a guide, not a guarantee.

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your start time for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours (1 day or less) are charged 100%.

Your day, step by step
Thai lunch at base camp is included on the 07:30 departure. Afternoon departures skip lunch — drinking water and light snacks are always included.
Float time depends on the day’s water level — typically 50 minutes to just over an hour. Your guide may adjust the route for safety, especially in rainy season.
We collect you from your hotel (within ~5 km of the Old City) and head up into the Mae Taeng valley. Self-drive guests meet us at base camp instead — free parking on site.
Meet the team at our riverside camp and change into your swimwear. Safety briefing, life jacket and tube fitted — and a free waterproof phone pouch to borrow.
A quick two-minute ride from camp to the riverside tubing start point, where your tube is waiting.
Drift downstream with your guide alongside, tubes roped together as one group — past the boundary of Elephant Nature Park, with a good chance of spotting elephants on the far bank, until the float ends at the edge of Mueang Kued village.
Climb out at the end of the float and hop in the pickup truck for the short ride back to base camp.
A five-minute walk behind camp brings you to SaGee Waterfall — slide down the natural rock slide until your face hurts from smiling.
Walk back down to camp for a hot shower and fresh clothes — plus a Thai lunch at base camp on morning departures — then head back to Chiang Mai.
Getting there & pickup
With Transfer: we pick you up from your hotel within ~5 km of the Old City. Your exact pickup time and point are confirmed by email after you book.
Self-Drive: drive straight to our base camp — about 1 hour 15 minutes – 1 hour 30 minutes north of the old city. Free parking on site. Please arrive about 10 minutes before your booked start time for check-in and the safety briefing.
Prefer not to share the ride? On the With Transfer rate we collect a few groups on the way, so pickup and drop-off take longer. Add a private vehicle at checkout — car ฿1,600 (1–4 guests) or van ฿2,900 (5–10) — and the vehicle is your group’s alone, door to door. The tour itself is still shared with the day’s other guests.
